Editing a Time Log Pro / Solo

Sometimes a time log needs to be corrected — an employee forgot to clock out, they clocked in at the wrong time, or there was a kiosk error. Admins can edit any time log entry directly from the Attendance tab.

✏️ Screenshot: Attendance tab → Edit time log modal — clock-in, clock-out, notes fields
1

In the Attendance tab, find the row you need to correct. Click the edit icon (✏️) on the row.

2

The edit modal opens with the current clock-in and clock-out times pre-filled. Correct the times as needed. If the employee never clocked out, add the correct clock-out time here.

3

Optionally add a note explaining why the edit was made (e.g., "Employee forgot to clock out — confirmed via WhatsApp"). This is for your own records.

4

Click Save. The system immediately recalculates hours worked:

computed_hours = (clock_out − clock_in) ÷ 3,600,000 ms

What changes after an edit

⚠️
Editing a time log does not change the recorded late minutes. If the employee was genuinely late, those minutes remain in the record and will still affect payroll. To remove a late deduction, you would need to edit the time log's clock-in to match or beat the shift start time — only do this if the lateness was due to a system error, not a genuine late arrival.
